“The Serengeti is the largest wildlife reserve in Africa and one of its most distinguished inhabitants is the cheetah – the world’s fastest land animal”
In the Serengeti, animals are equipped with individual and remarkably different survival traits; speed, strength, camouflage, visual power and safety in numbers. However, the ones that are not adequately equipped for this tough life are either killed off by predators or starve to death.
In Africa the cheetah is a declining and threatened species. Since various families or dynasties are more successful than others, certain individuals hold the future of the whole species.
The Cheetah Family follows the story of three generations of cheetahs in the Serengeti. The story starts with Cat, a single cheetah mother, and how she manages to raise her cubs against all odds.
Her cubs then grow up and leave their mother, to develop into a dominant hunting group of four males, and a single female called Kit.
Kit then goes on to have her own family of cubs but as ever, it is survival of the fittest in the savage paradise.
