For four months each year, Argentina's Patagonian coast is host to a colony of southern elephant seals, who come to moult and breed before returning to sea.

The rough seas of South America have created one of the harshest environments on earth. To live there you need to be tough.
Every year a host of fighters arrive to breed. Only the fighting championships can decide who lives and who dies, in the gritty underworld of The Real Fight Club.

Watch as male elephant seals, weighing as much as four tonnes, compete in a series of astonishingly harsh pitched battles for the right to rule the beach. This is nature at its most raw and brutal.

The film documents the struggles of these heavyweight fighters and also looks at the other migrants that come here to seek love: penguins and sea lions.
