We are based in the UK and therefore most of our DVDs have been produced in PAL video format, but a limited number of them are also available in NTSC video format. 

NTSC is the video system used in the USA, Canada, Mexico, Japan, Philippines, etc. It is different from the PAL system, which is used in the UK, Europe, Australia, New Zealand, India, China and many other countries. Click here to see a world map of NTSC countries.

Standard DVD players in NTSC countries can not play PAL format DVDs, but NTSC format DVDs can usually be played back in PAL regions without any problems.

The description for each of our DVDs will clearly state whether it is a PAL or an NTSC format DVD.   The Compatibility page on our website provides more detailed information. 

In order to assist customers in the USA, Canada and other NTSC regions we also stock some of our titles in NTSC format. We have listed these below. The individual description for these DVDs may still state that a particular title is in PAL format, but we can offer an NTSC version on request, usually at no extra cost. Please contact us for availability of NTSC titles before ordering.

If you are in an NTSC country and the title you are interested in is only available in PAL format, we recommend that you use a multi-region DVD player that is able to play back PAL format DVDs. These can be purchased for US$35-45 from many retailers in the USA/Canada. Alternatively, you can also play region-free PAL format DVDs in the DVD drive of your PC, laptop, or Mac.
