“An epic adventure of life through time and an intriguing look at mankind’s disastrous impact on our Earth”
This National Geographic ‘Special’ chronicles how the Earth has changed over the past millennium and provides a look at life on Earth from the beginning to modern day technology.
This documentary includes a look at the Oviraptor dinosaur, the problems of the global population explosion and natural disasters. We look at shark behaviour and how sharks hunt each year in the same place at the same time.
The Hagahai tribe lives in the highlands of Papua New Guinea and is probably the last remote society on earth. They see time as the connection between their ancestors and today. Scientists consider them a true ‘Stone Age’ tribe.
This documentary also explores the adaptations of nature, with the birth of young animals, their playing and development, and their fight for supremacy. Human culture and traditions also receive ample attention. From the Great Indian Railway to dangerous occupations, we learn about the threat to Earth’s unique societies. Our way of life is under threat and we are told that half of all the languages in the world are likely to die out in the 21st Century.
Using its entire backlog of classic documentaries, National Geographic creates a documentary that will celebrate the millennium with a look to the past as well as the future of planet Earth: Adventures in Time.
This ‘Special’ reveals the beauty and complexity of the natural world and the diversity of the human experience within it.
