“A fascinating personal story combined with fantastic insights into the world of the grizzly – this is an intimate portrayal of the man and the bears”
Among the most powerful predators on Earth, the huge and solitary grizzly bear roams the wilderness of Alaska’s Alcutian Islands.
For 10 years, film-maker Andreas Kieling has spent each summer recording the lives of these dangerous and unpredictable creatures at frighteningly close range.
This time he is bringing his 10 year-old son Erik along to experience a life with grizzly bears for himself. Their dramatic adventures in this film really do push back the boundaries between man and bear.
This one hour special shows us extraordinary and unique moments as Andreas Kieling and his son settle down to observe and, at times, interact with these giant predators. This is A Life with Bears.
This DVD is accompanied by a beautifully illustrated 24-page hardback reference book. Watch the close-up wildlife film and at the same time read the book to learn about habitats, diet, life cycle and more. The book is packed with intriguing facts, illustrations, photography and a 'Test your knowledge' quiz.
